Message from the Chairman

As we enter the third millenium, our society is more than ever confronted with a scientific challenge such as we have never encountered: to conquer cancer, which is the second biggest killer in France
Because cancer is a major unresolved public health problem, we are all affected by the response that attending physicians* can contribute these days.
Perceiving that therapeutic advances were moving too slowly, were too fragmented, and that results were too scattered, in 1997 we created Gercor, to offer other solutions to people affected by cancer.

INNOVATION IN THERAPY

Our sole mission is to improve the care of patients affected by cancer by developing clinical research through therapeutic tests in many places all over the world. We care for our patients with known therapeutic weapons or ones which are in development by using innovative protocols** that are effective and that comply with ethical rules. We have no other mission, such as prevention or social action.

A HUGE NETWORK OF ATTENDING PHYSICIANS

In an effort to ensure that any patient has access to our treatments, we have created a network that now counts more than 450 attending physicians in France and throughout the world, which has a light, independent and dynamic structure as its core, which is well suited for fulfilling our objectives.

MOBILIZING ABILITIES

The doctors who are members of Gercor pool and concentrate their abilities on joint projects and optimize the distribution of the results they achieve.

MULTIDISCIPLINARITY

No cancer site escapes our action.

ACTIVE COOPERATION WITH DOCTORS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD

Gercor cannot exist without the financial support of partners who are associated with its mission. Why not?
• Because the priorities that we have set represent a significant cost and Gercor cannot carry on its work and meet patients' expectations by relying only on its own resources.
• Because we want to make our research programs permanent, yet independent of the drug industry.
So, do not leave your loved ones to be confronted with situations of powerlessness and failure. Belong to those who choose to fight along with us to win one of the greatest battles of the new century.
